Deconstrctd

Hello

Welcome to www.abstractioncreative.com (the "Site"), a website operated by Abstraction Creative ("Company," "us," "our," and "we").

We are designers and creators. We are constantly forming new business ideas and how they can help others. These ideas typically lead us down paths where we see possibilities to design and create organizations that give opportunities to like-minded creatives. Our goal in everything we do is to take people's skills and put them in positions to utilize them to maintain complete control of their way of self-expression. We also value autonomy, so when architecting our ideas, you will find there is no hierarchy. We provide structure and infrastructure but nothing beyond what is necessary to operate in ways that sustain our rights.

We love design. We also value being of service and providing support. We have a lot of experience designing and developing successful businesses and start-ups and adding components to established organizations to drive initiatives and further their success.

Below, you will find an idea for a business we are considering starting. You have been invited to review these details because we'd like you to be a part of the conversation or partner with us in some capacity to help make it real.

The Idea Behind Deconstrctd

We were having a discussion surrounding sustainability and specific industries. The fashion industry creates ridiculous amounts of waste; however, there has been a significant transformation to recycled materials in recent years. Technology supports the transformations of these materials, and companies are even doing second-use projects by reselling reclaimed clothing.

But why buy if you could take clothes you already own and redesign them professionally with real designers? Why not repurpose your wardrobe to create unique one of a kind ensembles?

These questions stem from some shopping and just questioning why things are the way they are—wondering how possible it was to repurpose existing items and improve them, so I didn't have to lose items I loved simply because they were too old. Then sprinkle in a little bit of additional monetization because what if someone else liked anything that was made from my stuff and wanted to rock something fresh for themselves? What if some items are made to donate? What if scraps of clothing that go unused are sold to companies that process these materials and ready them for new products made from recycled materials.

Endless Possibilities

We are open to your ideas and how the augment ours or shift them enitrely. As you read this, please document you ideas and present them for discussion. We remain open to our ideas and feedback. If we move forward with creating this company, our vision will be tied to everyone involved.

You'll have to forgive any misuse of fashion industry-specific terms we use to describe what we see in these products. Apologies in advance to the professionals we've invited to be a part of this project 🙃🙂. We'll learn to speak your language, we promise! We noticed how the designs have this "Deconstrctd" look and self-explanatory styling choices with multiple pieces of fabric, textures, shapes, sizes, and techniques used to emphasize the vision.

This is not to say anything you/we produce will follow the same motif. It is just an explanation for which the seed of the idea came from. It's just us envisioning sitting down with a client to discuss and understand their style choices/preferences and use cases for the clothing they like. From there, doing some design based on their profile and photos of the garments they would be sending and letting you, the designer, take that information and create something unique.

Getting a pile of used clothes and being given free rein to create something sounds appealing. People wanting to wear your art and creations just sounds dope.

And potentially expensive… There are many considerations to be made. We want to incorporate social benefits besides environmental kindness. This opportunity exists in us having tons of fabric to create more than just the client's designs. We can create more one-of-a-kind products with the pieces we have and sell them online via a retail component. Then sell or donate the unused materials to processing companies like Circular Systems — https://circularsystems.com — with whom we have a close relationship because we designed and developed their website and a majority of their automated systems. We can also purchase materials from them to continue championing sustainability across every part of our internal practices, so there is no compromise whatsoever.

When thinking through this idea, please consider the social and environmental benefits and how we turn profits. The company will be designed around social and environmental justice with no compromises. However, we want to be very clear on our desire to make sure the designers/artists/creators make the money they want to live their lives and lifestyle comfortably.

Types of professionals we need to make this happen

We need designers. We need people who can make these designs. We can also reach out to companies who do this work and make the necessary agreements. Essentially anyone with the requisite experience and capability or desire to create. We also need project/production managers and people who can manage accounts. I’ve found hundreds of people who can help with this work on various outlets. Of course the right people will be identified prior to launch and we should have no problem ramping up when the demand rises.
